SGB FORMWORK JOINS FORCES WITH SCANMOOR ON LUXURY DEVELOPMENT

SGB Formwork is supplying equipment to Scanmoor Northern Civil Engineering for the build of a new luxury apartment development in the centre of Manchester.

The River Street apartments comprise a 7-storey and two 3-storey buildings linked by a central podium slab.

SGB Formwork has supplied its Multiform Climbing Brackets and Logik 60 wall panels for the construction of four lift cores. The Multiform Climbing Bracket provides support to the panels while lift core walls are poured. The bracket also allows the panels to be retracted away from the wall pour enabling the whole unit to be craned up to the next level, while maintaining safe access and eliminating any need for scaffold.

The leading formwork provider also supplied its GASS aluminium shoring and Du-Al beams for the construction of the floor slabs and central podium.

The River Street development is being constructed by principle contractor Lance City Ltd and is due to be complete in spring 2007.
