 | | CADDIE 12 SOFTWARE FEATURING 2007/2008 ‘DWG’ COMPATIBILITY NOW AVAILABLE | | | Advanced Computer Solutions (Europe) Ltd. | | 02/10/2007 | | | Advanced Computer Solutions are pleased to announce that the new and much anticipated Caddie 12, featuring native OpenDWG 2007/2008 file format for industry wide compatibility, is now officially launched to the UK, Europe and North American markets, and is available to download from the Caddie website at www.caddiesoftware.com. This latest phase in the staggered release of Caddie 12 follows the South African launch, which took place a little over a month ago.

“Reaction from those now using Caddie 12 has been extremely positive, with many users commenting already on how intuitive the system is to work with, producing overall improvements in speed and ease of working across the board.’
He went on to say that:

For instance, Caddie now allows the user to combine mapping images with automatic plotting of GPS data, terrific for large scale survey work, and offering major improvements in efficiency and accuracy’.
Caddie 12 also contains a host of new features, including:
• Native OpenDWG 2007/2008 file format to read and write the very latest ‘DWG’ files for industry wide compatibility.
• Dynamic Layer Display making it easy to identify the contents of drawing layers and layer combinations.
• Automatic layering of finishes to make management of drawing layers easy.
• Block Scheduling to provide instant take-offs for blocks within a drawing, either to the drawing itself, or exported to Excel.
• WGS84 to UK grid conversion, providing for the input of GPS survey data into Caddie drawings.
• jp2 and ecw image support providing loading and re-sampling of terrabyte sized images, ideal for presenting site information using hybrid drawing and photographic data.
• Block and refsym clipping to hide unwanted portions of imported objects. Ideal for use with site survey data.
• Batch printing providing automatic printing of sheets from different drawings to preconfigured printers.
• Along with many more new tools and enhancements. | |
