 | | COVERING THE HISTORIC |  | | Howe Green | | 16/10/2006 | | | The new National Waterfront Museum in Swansea is a new masterpiece of design for Wales. It is also a showpiece for Hertford-based company Howe Green Ltd. Why? - Because the company has supplied a record number of 7500 floor access covers for the Museum.
Hundreds of metres of aluminium floor access covers cross and intersect throughout this impressive building to provide quick, easy and safe access to the wealth of underfloor services. Running from the reception areas and through the displays and exhibits, the slimline aluminium showedges present clean and crisp geometry within the many different types of floorcovering used in the Museum.
The museum, which tells the story and history of industry and innovation in Wales through the eyes of the Welsh, in an innovative new interactive building created between in a partnership between National Museums & Galleries of Wales (NMGW) and The City and County of Swansea, designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre.
Howe Green covers are made to order in single units, continuous ducts or multi-part configurations for use with any type of hard floor or floorcovering. They are hermetically double-sealed to meet the highest standards of hygiene and security. Covers are maintenance-free, resistant to corrosion and prevent the ingress of dirt, water and cleaning fluids. A choice of showedges in aluminium, brass, stainless steel or pvc is available.
