 | | EXPANSION FOR INTERACTION - INTERFACING RING-MASTER CB901 AND STENTOFON ALPHACOM E | | | Zenitel | | 31/01/2008 | | | Zenitel, international market leader in integrated security audio solutions for the professional market, confirms the launch of its new RM-AC interface between STENTOFON AlphaCom E and the Ring-Master CB901. The integration offers Ring-Master users a migration path to advanced IP technology, even using a system purchased many or several years ago.
The RM-AC interface (CB901 – AlphaCom interface), now released for tender, enables existing systems to be upgraded and expanded, and simplifies integration by using IP technology. For example, the system can now incorporate the most advanced communication services and become a networked system, combining powerful surveillance and communication technologies. As well as benefiting from the applications and features of AlphaCom E, Ring-Master can now also be interfaced to Zenitel’s AlphaNet, allowing services to be available across a network of intercom exchanges.
There have been many milestones in the life of the Ring-Master CB901 system, but none more so than this important product launch set to regenerate Ring-Master business across the land. Since the first production over twenty five years ago in 1978, the product range has been continuously upgraded with new features, including both software and hardware.
The Ring-Master CB901’s traffic capacity is based on modular units, each providing 240 extensions and 15 internal conversation channels handling up to 7,170 subscribers. Ring-Master multiple systems have previously been linked via hard wire for local sites, analogue tie-line links for remote sites and digital links using Ring-Master DNC (Digital Network Controller) the technology for global communication. Now in 2007, using AlphaCom E, Ring-Master calls can go IP. Calls via IP infrastructure can be made to remote locations, Cisco telephones, even door station calls received by PDA’s. Zenitel is committed to support both IP and traditional systems in order to provide the best possible solution to the customer. AlphaNet for example, provides not just IP links between the secure audio nodes, but analogue and/or E1/T1 too.
The RM-AC interface development is in line with Zenitel’s two-fold product strategy and philosophy: 1) to apply the latest technology to maintain and improve the products and 2) to offer migration concepts to protect previous investments and create healthy business possibilities for end users, Zenitel partners (distribution network) and Zenitel.
Now launched to the STENTOFON partner organisation worldwide, Zenitel looks forward to discovering the unique business potential the product represents. | |
