NEW LAY-IN RECESSED LUMINAIRE OFFERS PART L COMPLIANCE
Cooper Lighting and Security
12/02/2008
Cooper Lighting and Safety has updated and redesigned its popular Crompton Modulay range of recessed luminaires, adding Part L compliant versions that use high-frequency control gear and triphosphor lamps to achieve the highest levels of energy efficiency.
Compatible with both 15mm and 24mm exposed ‘T’ suspended ceilings, Modulay features a full box construction, which not only makes the luminaire particularly strong but also minimises light spill into the ceiling void.
This versatile recessed luminaire is available in a wide variety of configurations to suit most requirements: it can accommodate three or four 18W or 36W halophosphate or triphosphor lamps and can be specified with high-frequency or switch-start control gear and a choice of two types of louvre or two types of prismatic controller.
The Modulay range also offers fully integral emergency versions suitable for use on defined escape routes, and these can include self-test functionality if required.
For applications where rapid installation is the paramount consideration, all models are available with a pre-wired socket allowing simple plug-in electrical connections using Cooper’s Connect Wiring System.
In addition, the most popular models can be supplied with the body and attachment conveniently packaged together as the Modulay Pack range, thereby eliminating the need for installers to search the site for the right attachment to match the body, as well as reducing the amount of packaging material to be dealt with.
