The names changed, but the formula stays the same for industry's only sealant designed for large refrigeration systems of 17 KW or more.

Cliplight Mfg., Toronto, Canada, a leading HVAC/R aftermarket tool manufacturer, has renamed the refrigerant sealant, Super Seal 3 Phase™ to Super Seal Commercial™.

While the name may have changed, Super Seal Commercial™ is the same patented formula that has successfully sealed thousands of leaking large rooftop a/c units, food service equipment, chillers and other commercial / industrial refrigeration equipment since its successful introduction six years ago in a leaking 24-ton chiller at the Ford Motor Company's Essex Engine plant in Windsor, ON.

Super Seal is the industry's first and only one-step refrigeration sealant product line featuring three custom formulas: Super Seal ACR™ for smaller systems under 5 KW such as refrigerators, ice makers and small a/c units; Super Seal HVACR™ for residential sized systems between 5 KW & 17 KW; and Super Seal Commercial™ for systems over 17 KW.

The ‘3 Phase' name misled some service technicians into believing it was only good for units that had three-phase electrical systems, which is unrelated to the product application. All three Super Seal formulas are unique and should be applied to units according to their respective design size. Super Seal Commercial™ is a heavy duty sealant designed precisely for larger systems, 17 KW or larger.

Like all Super Seal products, Super Seal Commercial™ is designed to seal undetectable or inaccessible micro leaks in condensers, evaporators and line sets from the inside out. Injection is a one-step process of drawing the system refrigerant into the Super Seal vacuum-packed, three-ounce can for mixing and dispensing the sealant throughout the system thus eliminating compatibility considerations, making Super Seal compatible with all refrigerants and oils.

Each Super Seal product comes with a disposable charging hose, easy step-by-step instructions, and free customer telephone support. It is easily reclaimed and separated in the refrigerant recycling / cleaning process.

The newly-named product will begin appearing at wholesalers by March 2008.
