LDG Contracts, one of the North West's largest window system design, fabrication and installation companies, and part of The LDG Group, has just been selected by HSBC to become an approved supplier to the world famous banking group.

The LDG group has been established over 30 years and has built a successful business on the back of the company's commitment to quality and service provided to some of the regions leading leisure, retail and industrial companies.

LDG Contracts initially completed the successful refurbishment of a HSBC retail bank in Manchester on the behalf of a Preston based building company. After the successful completion of this prestigious project during early 2007, LDG Contracts went on to complete a further 10 successful refurbishments of HSBC banks in the north of England including sites in Hull, Sheffield and Middlesbrough. The latest success was the HSBC bank at Fullwood in Preston.

The majority of the shop fronts have been constructed in stainless steel with automatic doors, and for maximum security and strength, the glass has been 11.43 ply anti bandit glass which incorporated the structurally bonded ATM machines and the main frame material was from Technal Aluminum.

Technal Aluminium is a Hydro brand established in 1960, and is today a leading brand specialising in aluminium fittings for all sectors of the construction market worldwide. The product range includes windows, doors, curtain walls, shutters and balustrades amongst others.

Bill Forsyth Managing Director LDG Contracts said "This is fantastic news for us to be approved as a HSBC supplier. The projects required a very fast turnaround to limit the impact on retail trade and I think the fact we met all deadlines and produced such a good job was the reason they took the step to recognize us as an approved part of the supply chain". Bill continues "its also great for all the staff involved as they worked very hard ensuring no part of the work went unplanned. I think this will lead on to further great things for the company"

LDG Contracts is the new trading name of Raymond Wood Commercial and part the LDG Group based in Preston and is a Market leaders in the design fabrication and installation of aluminium and PVCu curtain walling, window systems and entrance systems, shop fronts and patent glazing and currently employs over 160 staff and has its own 40,000 sq feet manufacturing facility

The LGD Group was established in 1994 following the successful merger of Lancashire Double Glazing and Raymond Wood Commercial and has successfully traded in aluminum windows and doors since 1978.
