 | | THE ROOFLIGHT COMPANY EXTENDS REPLICA RANGE TO CREATE WIDEST CHOICE AVAILABLE IN UK FOR CONSERVATION PROJECTS | | | The Rooflight Company | | 29/02/2008 | | | Extension of Replica range means The Rooflight Company now provides UK’s widest selection of high quality, innovative rooflight products for conservation projects.
The Rooflight Company - the UK’s leading provider of high quality rooflights, roof windows and skylights - has significantly extended its Replica range of conservation style rooflights to take the lead in the UK for product breadth in this area. The Replica range complements the company’s famous Conservation Rooflight™. Replica rooflights offer the required traditional external appearance for conservation products, but simultaneously have a modern interior look and feel which allows much greater flexibility with interior design. The extended range comprises six standard sizes and almost unlimited bespoke specification options through its demountable glazing bars and linking bar options.
The new Replica range is ideally suited for projects where conforming to external heritage style is desired, but a degree of design choice exists for building interiors. The Replica range has a traditional external appearance but gives a more modern interior look and feel due to the removable glazing bars. The designs have a greater degree of flexibility as the bars can be retained or deleted to create a panelled glass look, or a more open feel. The range has been designed by architects, for architects, to ensure maximum practicality and atheistic appeal.
The Rooflight Company’s products have been used in thousands of conservation projects throughout the UK, including Royal Palaces, National Trust and English Heritage properties as well as a growing number of new build and development projects.
Commenting on the company’s product expansion, Peter King, architect, co-chairman and founder of the Rooflight Company, says, “As an architect, I know how important it is to be able to specifiy products which meet demanding requirements but also give as much scope for personal design as possible. The Replica range has been developed specifically to meet this need. We’re giving architects, developers and designers greater choice when it comes to problem solving and meeting the diverse needs of period or contemporary buildings. With its suitability for contemporary or listed buildings the newly extended Replica range will bring a new dimension to rooflight design in the conservation sector.” | |
