PVC-u remains a competitive industry and a fabricator in Northallerton recently demonstrated that profile extruders should never take customers for granted. Chatsworth Windows, a Eurocell conservatory roof customer, was approached several months ago by an alternative supplier.

For a number of years, the company had sourced the Pinnacle roof profiles from Eurocell in Derbyshire. However, the opportunity of a more local supplier, and the chance to benchmark their current offer, prompted Chatsworth Windows to re-evaluate their whole supply route on conservatory roofs.

Steve Robson, at Chatsworth Windows, explains: “This is a competitive industry and we are always being approached by other suppliers and as this one was local it seemed worth looking at.”

Following a rigorous assessment, the initial findings showed that the newcomer was competitive on price. Steve continues: “If you just looked at the price alone then they were nearly able to match the Eurocell prices. However, when you factored in the quality, service, and backup from Eurocell, we soon realised we were getting exceptional value for money.”

An additional, but crucial factor in the decision to remain with Eurocell, was the fact that their installers preferred the Pinnacle system because it makes it quicker and easier to construct a conservatory. In a competitive market place, installation times can make all the difference on a job, which is why the Eurocell conservatory roof has been designed with several unique and patented assembly features.

Chatsworth Windows also liked the fact that the Eurocell conservatory roof offers them several points of differentiation in the market. Steve adds: “Our business is positioned at the premium end of the market, and because of that, we always look for something that gives us a point of differentiation. The Pinnacle system does this because it has so many unique design features and the fact you only see it on the very best homes, gives it that extra special appeal.”

The Eurocell conservatory roof offers significant advantages over other systems, including superior looks, and patented ridge end sealing assembly, that reduces the risk of water ingress, overcoming the need for silicone sealing. The system is available in roof pitches between 2.5° and 45°, in either 16, 24, 25 or 32mm glazing.

Chatsworth Windows has been established for over eight years and supplies predominantly into the home improvement market, through their own installers and trade customers. The company philosophy is based around supplying the best quality conservatories and windows in the market, in addition to a complete ground to roof installation offer.

Steve concludes by saying: “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Eurocell. It’s not a bad thing to look at other suppliers occasionally, but this has just reaffirmed that we are buying the best conservatory roof system on the market.”
