 | | AXIOM BY FORMICA® LAUNCHES NEW RANGE REFRESH | | | Formica Limited | | 18/03/2008 | | | Axiom by Formica®, the leading premium kitchen worktop collection in the UK and Ireland, has launched a new design-led range refresh. Formica Limited is pleased to announce the introduction of three exciting new textures into the Axiom® range: Lustre, Riverwash and Finewood. The range refresh also includes extensions of the best-selling Honed and Etchings textures, as well as unique new designs in high-gloss finishes.
One of the highlights of this stylish range update is the new Lustre texture, which is exclusive to Axiom. Lustre captures the translucent features of natural quartz, resulting in a softly polished, premium stone look. Lustre worktops are ideal for design-conscious consumers as they lend a subtle and sophisticated shimmer and are available in a choice of four colours: Cappuccino Stone, Citrine, Imperial White and Midnight Stone.
Riverwash, a rugged stone texture available in Black Quarstone and Grey Quarstone, is another new premium offering adding even more variety to the Axiom range. Inspiration for this texture came from sandblasted and brushed stone and the designs feature low lustre and dual gloss texturing that creates the look of naturally weathered stone. Riverwash worktops are ideal for consumers looking to make a visual and tactile impact in their kitchens.
The Axiom range refresh also features the new Finewood texture which offers a premium, sophisticated wood finish. Inspiration for this texture was found in nature and Finewood designs offer a realistic grained finish. Three designs are available in this texture: Bali Wood, Ebony Block, and Padua Oak.
Axiom by Formica is also introducing High Gloss Plain Colours. Already a popular trend in kitchen units and appliances, high gloss surfaces are now available as worktops in the Axiom range, in Antique White and the stunning red Carnaval. Also new in High Gloss is Golden Olivewood, a striking wood design inspired by Italian kitchen design. Ideal for trend-conscious consumers and contemporary kitchens, High Gloss designs offer premium, high-impact looks.
Other highlights of the Axiom range refresh include range extensions of the best selling Etchings and Honed textures, offering customers new designs that provide the look and feel of premium granite and brushed stone. New Etchings designs include Grigio Granite, Kerala Granite, and Sierra White Granite. Brushed Concrete and Desert Sandstone are new designs available in Honed texture.
Formica Limited is also unveiling two new designs in its Axiom Solid Surfacing range. Solid Surfacing worktops offer cool, clean looks and smooth, satin surfaces, perfectly at home in both contemporary and traditional kitchens. The new Arctic and Winterhaze designs offer customers increased choices in this popular category.
All of the new Axiom worktop designs will be offered with matching upstands and selected designs are also available as splashbacks. Stylish alternatives to tiling in the kitchen, splashbacks and upstands provide elegance and practicality, for a totally coordinated look.
