UK specialist interior and fit-out contractor GF Holding has created a modern and attractive new cinema complex for Curzon Cinemas of Loughborough within a strict project schedule of just 12 weeks. For this new 5-screen Reel Cinemas complex on the Phoenix Retail Park in Crewe, Cheshire, GF Holding drew on the wealth of expertise available from its own in-house resources to convert an empty new-build shell into a state-of-the-art leisure facility.
GF Holding specialises in offering a single source from which clients can draw the many specialist services required by complex projects such as this. The company undertook all the internal construction, joinery and interior finishing work, and also installed all the movie screens and audio equipment plus a network of plasma screens located around the cinema. Ceilings, flooring and the mechanical and electrical services were also installed by GF Holding. Curzon Cinemas was sufficiently impressed with GF Holding's ability to manage such an undertaking and deliver high quality service at a competitive price that the two companies have now gone on to participate in a similar project on a joint-venture basis.
'This was the first project we have handled for Reel Cinemas and it was a pleasure to work with a new client who has some fresh and exiting ideas,' comments GF Holding spokesman Simon Holding. 'Despite the tight 12-week deadline the result is a cinema complex that has quite a different look and feel to many, with a very modern, simple yet sophisticated appearance.'
'We are very pleased with the work that GF Holding put into this project and also with the final result,' adds KC Suri of Curzon Cinemas. 'We quickly came to trust their abilities as a fit-out contractor and were happy to undertake another project with them.'
Since being established in 1908, GF Holding has gone on to specialise in fitting-out and refurbishment work. However it is easily able to provide a full turnkey service by also taking responsibility for any necessary construction activities. The skills and expertise of the company's specialist divisions can be combined as required to provide each client with a bespoke service tailored to satisfy their individual requirements. Although the company has a very wide range of successful projects to its credit it is particularly experienced in both the leisure and financial services industries.
