Fendor’s SlimLine secondary glazing system provides fire protection to the externally glazed façade of the new office block, No 1 London Wall.

The SlimLine system allowed the size of the modules on the external façade of the building to be maintained along with the narrow sightlines as specified by the architects, Foster & Partners.

SlimLine insulated glazing system with side-hung opening panels providing 30-minutes fire integrity were used for this project.

The system offers specifiers a wide range of profiles and sizes for fixed glazing with a snap-on bead. The system can be used externally and internally, thermally or non-thermally broken. The profiles can also provide fire integrity and insulation.

Fendor's solution-led glazing designs provide architects, designers and surveyors with technical support from the initial design stages of projects through to an on-site installation service. Fendor handles design, fabrication and installation of its products to ensure consistent product quality and installation to high standards.

Fendor supplies specialist-glazing solutions for major building projects with aluminium and steel framed systems for standard curtain walling, window applications and specialist fire and security glazing systems.

The company is the first manufacturer with patented design solutions meeting security ratings 1 to 4 for glazing systems set out in BRE LPS 1175. All its external systems are tested and meet Building Regulation requirements for thermal performance.
