A new range of megapixel CCTV lenses has been developed to meet the increasing demands for optical quality and performance. These lenses are the critical part of the system, if this is wrong then all you do is amplify the distortions. Rapid progress in imaging technologies, are being made with the advent of new image compression and digital transmission technologies, which requires megapixel lenses.

By the development of advanced optical technologies these lenses deliver high-resolution and high-contrast images that are uniformly sharp from the centre to the edges. This new series of ½” format lenses offer fixed, and vari-focal formats plus DC iris control and vari-focal DC iris control. Focal lengths from 4.5mm to 50mm ensure they can be used in most applications. The lenses use aspherical elements to minimize various aberrations and ensure high optical quality.

These lenses will enable uses of megapixel camera users a wider choice of lens selection to more closely fit their particular application.
