Thanks to an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with Schüco Jansen Steel Systems, British architects looking for an attractive and practical alternative to conventional IPE beams and add-on façade constructions can now specify the DAVEX range of profiles from Thyssen Krupp.

Completely compatible with Schüco Jansen-VISS fully insulated steel glazing systems and available in 50 mm and 60 mm face-widths, the special slimline, sharp-edged beams are pierced with holes that flood a room with complex patterns of light and shadows. The result is a steel beam that is both structurally strong and architecturally interesting.

DAVEX beams have already been successfully used – in conjunction with a conventional Jansen-VISS façade – to create 8-metre-long single-span mullions at the ‘Factory of the Future with Rolls-Royce’, part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, a world-class research facility at the University of Sheffield.
