PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF CONCRETE BLOCK DESIGN
Lignacite Ltd
11/06/2008
The need for greater choice of sustainable, affordable and aesthetically impressive concrete blocks has given rise to products with the authentic appearance of natural materials such as granite and marble. Lignacite’s highly reflective ‘Midnight Granite’ Architectural Facing Masonry was specified by HOK Sport, architects for Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, for their design of MK Dons’ new 30,000 seater UEFA four-star stadium, stadiummk. Other such facing masonry includes ‘polished’, ‘weathered’, ‘split’ and ‘natural’ finishes in solid, hollow and cellular forms and a range of thicknesses and strengths.
Ideal for internal or external situations they combine inherent visual impact with strength and durability. Polished facing masonry blocks can also be supplied with a ‘ground’ matt smooth surface.
