 | | HOTEL BOASTS ROOMS WITH A BETTER VIEW | | | Ventrolla | | 20/06/2008 | | | Sash window renovation specialist Ventrolla has checked in with a Suffolk hotel to help refurbish a number of its bedrooms.
The family run Wentworth Hotel in the seaside resort of Aldeburgh has 35 ensuite bedrooms, all with period windows, and dates back to the 1830s.
Proprietor Michael Pritt said he has been calling on Ventrolla East Anglia each time a new part of the hotel is renovated.
He said: “We first worked together in 2003 and now every time we upgrade a bedroom or public room we ask Ventrolla to assist with the windows. The results are fantastic and allow us to retain the period looks of the building with no compromise on functionality.”
Windows at the hotel have been upgraded using the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS), which virtually eliminates draughts, offers good energy retention and ensures sashes slide efficiently and are properly balanced.
It has also proved extremely effective at taming the fierce coastal winds that regularly batter the hotel building.
Michael said: “Some rooms had become almost unusable in bad weather and there was nothing we could do to keep them warm. Ventrolla’s solution is hugely effective and helps ensure our guests have a pleasant, comfortable stay.”
Managing director for Ventrolla East Anglia, Colin Grosvenor, added: “The repeat business we have been able to secure from the Wentworth Hotel speaks volumes about just how effective the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System can be.
“Together we have tackled the majority of rooms with no need to replace any complete sash window unit.”
With its national headquarters in Harrogate, Yorkshire, Ventrolla was established in 1986 and operates via a national network of regional offices.
The Wentworth Hotel was originally the residential home of the renowned Wentworth family and became a hotel in 1900. Michael’s grandfather George Pritt acquired the business in 1920, while Michael took over in 1975. | |
