 | | KEE SAFETY ENJOYS EXHIBITION SUCCESS AT FASTENER FAIR | | | Kee Klamp Ltd | | 01/07/2008 | | | The 2008 Fastener Fair in Coventry was once again a resounding success for leading manufacturer of steelwork fixings, Kee Safety Ltd. The launch of the company’s Suspension Fixings alongside its well established BeamClamp® fixings range received an overwhelmingly positive response, with the Kee Safety® stand enjoying a steady stream of visitors throughout the two day show.
“Fastener Fair was a great showcase for Kee Safety. We had plenty of interest in the new products we launched, and saw visitors from across the UK and Europe” explains Ian Page, Sales Director at Kee Safety Ltd “We strengthened some existing links and also unearthed some important new contacts as we continue to build our distribution network and evolve the business”.
On show as part of the Kee Safety? offering was the new Suspension Fixings range. This included the unique universal Uni-Wedge decking fixing, suitable for the seven most popular deck profiles in the UK. Using Uni-Wedge allows contractors to safely secure struts for cable trays, suspended ceilings and pipework supports to decking profiles without penetrating the roof membrane. It provides a guaranteed safe working load and simply requires a standard hexagon key and spanner with no need for power, special tools or highly skilled labour.
Kee Safety® BL Flange Clamps, also part of the Suspension Fixings range, are suitable for a wide variety of applications and can be used with clips and brackets underneath the nut and washer side for fixing conduit or pipe work. They are supplied hot dipped galvanised as standard and can be used for fixing down the lids of pressure vessels or clamping steel together without the need for drilling or welding. Meanwhile, the SF Flange Clamps are malleable iron fixings designed for suspending threaded bars from steelwork flanges to support a variety of HVAC systems, sprinkler systems, cable trays and suspended ceilings. Supplied in a zinc plated finish, these fixings feature a screw which clamps onto the steel flange and a locknut to hold the clamp securely in position, ensuring fast, easy and cost-effective installation.
Other highlights included the company’s extensive and versatile range of BeamClamp® and BoxBolt® steelwork fixing solutions, which are widely used in curtain walling and other secondary steelwork applications. BeamClamp® and BoxBolt® fixings are renowned for bringing unique benefits, including exceptional safety performance, easy specification and use, and long-lasting reliability. As the only range of fixings on the market which are both DIBt approved and hot dip galvanised as standard, specifying BeamClamp® could not be easier, whatever the project. Unlike with traditional drilled or welded joints, they allow easy adjustment and re-alignment to cope with site tolerances, reducing installation difficulty and time, especially useful in curtain walling applications.
BeamClamp® fixings are also manufactured from ductile iron, typically giving a 25% improvement in tensile strength over the ordinary malleable iron used in alternative products. BoxBolt® cavity fixings are designed to connect steelwork into hollow section or for use where access is only available from one side. All sizes of BoxBolt® contain an overlap feature to allow for unforeseen variations in steel thicknesses, making them especially easy to work with in contrast to other steel fixings on the market. | |
