Toys R Us, the UK's largest retailer of toys, babycare and family leisure products, is specifying Dorgards in their 73 stores nationwide to protect staff and customers.

In Toys R Us stores fire safety is a key issue and the company are very conscious of their responsibilities under new Fire Safety law, in particular, to breaches of regulations such as fire doors being wedged open and exits obstructed. Wireless Dorgard offers the simplest, most cost-effective way of legally holding open fire doors safely in any position, automatically releasing them should the fire alarm sound.

Toys R Us comments: 'In most cases, the Dorgards are installed in our stores on fire doors between the storage and sales areas; they are also fitted on fire doors in our distribution centres. Until recently wall-fixed magnetic door closers had been used across our stores, although these proved impractical, often being sheared off during the transport of goods through doorways. The neatness of the Dorgard unit, attached to the door, circumvents this problem so effectively that Dorgards are now specified for our new-build stores, as well as our established properties.'

With over 250,000 Dorgards installed across the UK, the Dorgard range is now accepted as the solution to the illegally wedged open fire door problem, in any environment. Dorgard complies fully with all relevant British Standards and EU Directives.
