 | | IN SAFE HANDS WITH MECSERFLEX | | | Mecserflex | | 17/07/2008 | | | With BS 6173 compliance now mandatory in most commercial kitchens, a ChefSafe Gas Interlock fail safe system, now available from Mecserflex, is the way to go for a safe working environment.
British Standard 6173 (2001) states that kitchens must have a fail safe device that cuts off the gas flow to all flue type gas appliances in the event of kitchen extract fan failure and the ChefSafe does just that. Specifically designed for modern commercial kitchens, the ChefSafe is flame retardant and complies not only with BS 6173 but also Corgi Technical Bulletin TB120, Gas Safety Regulations 27 (4), and HSE - Catering Info 23 - Gas Safety in Catering and Hospitality.
The unobtrusive unit is easy to install, rear cable mounted or bottom mounted, and is operated by simple start and stop buttons, making it completely user friendly. The front panel carries clear operating instructions and a set of coloured warning lights to highlight such things as faults and when to call the engineer. Optional extras include a ChefSafe solid state air flow sensor, an air differential switch and emergency shut-off switch. | |
