When Dave Marland and James Ekin of Laser Precision Concrete in Stoke on Trent purchased the new PowerRake® 2.0 in May, they became not only the first contractor in the UK, but also in Europe, to own the new machine. They knew that the PowerRake 2.0 offered their concrete flooring business time and labour saving benefits, and Marland and Ekin wasted no time in getting the laser-guided raking machine into the concrete.

“We used the PowerRake 2.0 for the first time on a flooring project for a local farmer. Using the PowerRake ahead of the CopperHead® XD™ 3.0 Laser Screed® we were able to construct the 1,100sqm floor with just a 5-man gang and in much less time than if we had been raking by hand. Already we can see the huge benefits the PowerRake will bring us.”

Designed to work ahead of screeding equipment such as the CopperHead and SXP Laser Screed®, the PowerRake 2.0 takes the back breaking work out of placing concrete. This 4-wheel drive, ride on mechanical raking system has a laser controlled, double-sided blade that places wet concrete as it is poured from the truck – significantly reducing the time needed to set up floors for screeding and eliminating the need for hand raking concrete.

“The PowerRake is so easy to use it really does take the back breaking work out of raking concrete.”
