Vortice, Europe’s leading ventilation company, has announced the launch of the first of its new generation of eco-friendly products in September specifically developed with the Code for Sustainable Homes in mind.

Prometeo is a new heat recovery system designed for the housing market, with the Code for Sustainable Homes embedded into its design ethos. It extracts from wet rooms and recovers heat for use elsewhere in the home. It has DC Motors, automatic frost protection, summer bypass setting and CO2 sensor. Prometeo is designed to the highest environmental standards and will be Appendix Q eligible.

General Manager Kevin Hippey said: “Vortice is working hard to continually improve the design of its inherently energy efficient ventilation products. We build re-use into our product ranges; by utilising non-soldered joints where possible, any part of a system subject to heavy wear can be replaced individually, rather than the entire system discarded. This, as well as its eco-friendly specification, makes it ideal for the achievement of ‘carbon zero’ homes.”
