YORPOWER AWARDED MAJOR CONTRACT FROM UK WATER COMPANY

Yorkshire-headquartered Generator supplier Yorpower Manufacturing Limited is to supply 3 off 2000kVA generators for a major water company in the South of England.

The generators are required as part of an upgrade to the client’s existing treatment facility. Each generator will be containerized to meet exacting noise level requirements, and will be powered by MTU engines. Yorpower has also been contracted to install the generators, together with a 130,000 litre external bulk fuel tank.

Guy Phoenix, commenting on the award, stated “This contract award represents further progress for the Company’s project division, which has been building market share for several years now. It also underlines our presence as a nationwide supplier with the capability to provide product support to match. We are naturally delighted to have been chosen as the supplier for this major project.”

The generators are due to be installed early in 2009.
