Old Station Road runs past the famous Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, which sits beside St Andrews Golf Course the ‘Home of Golf’.

Fife Council recently took the decision to install a new lighting scheme there. The new luminaire needed to be a focal point as well as providing excellent photometric properties by night. They found our stylish, modern looking Hestia to be the ideal candidate.

Over 20 Hestias are either single or twin mounted on 6m tapered columns to optimise the light distribution on both the road and pavement. With a Sealsafe® IP66 rating and a durable aluminium body, the Hestia fits in perfectly with the robust construction of the surrounding buildings and countryside.

The Council is so delighted by the Hestias’ photometric performance and visual appeal that they have selected them for two other schemes. These can be found in South Street, St Andrews and at the Southern Gateway, Dunfermline.
