NEW SAFETY FOOTWEAR INCREASES CUSTOMER CHOICE

Dickies are offering more choice to its customers by introducing new products to its safety footwear range. Among these new products customers will find a variety of styles to suit personal preference and different working conditions.

The Oregon Super Safety Boot will meet with the approval of workers who want their safety footwear to provide firm but comfortable ankle support. The upper of this distinctive safety boot is made from waterproof Nubuck leather that has a rubber scuff cap to protect the leather toe area. The sturdy antistatic sole is heat, oil and slip resistant. Protection is provided by steel toe caps conforming to EN20345 (200 Joules) and there is also a flexible steel midsole to prevent sharp objects penetrating the sole. The collar and tongue are well padded to afford excellent comfort.

Tradesmen who prefer steel toe cap protection in a more formal style will find the solution in the new Sedona Super Safety Shoe. The Sedona’s simple, understated design is suitable for call-outs to commercial and domestic properties and combines a leather upper with a double density Polyurethane sole that is shock absorbent and antistatic. For increased comfort the shoe is fitted with a breathable lining. Regulation steel toe caps and anti-perforation steel midsoles offer all-round protection.

The safety trainer is well established as a style of protective footwear. In 2008 Dickies is offering customers three new safety trainers: the Iowa, Idaho and Utah. Sleek, sporty designs and quality materials are brought together to create three attractive new products; but although all three trainers bear more than a passing resemblance to their recreational counterparts, there is no compromise on safety, as the Iowa, Idaho and Utah all have steel toe caps and midsoles.
