ENVIROS QUALIFIES AS FULLY ACCREDITED LOW CARBON ENERGY ASSESSOR (LCEA)
Enviros
04/08/2008
Enviros is one of the first companies in the UK to qualify as a fully accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA).
Enviros has been awarded LCEA status and is one of the first UK companies to have
accredited Display Energy Certificate (DEC) assessors, approved by CIBSE Certification. This means Enviros is now able to produce DECs for those buildings that require them under the Energy Performance in Buildings Directive (EPBD).
DECs record how efficiently a building is using energy. From October this year every public building above 1,000m2 to which the public have access will require an annual certificate. Enviros has produced a detailed briefing note on DECs outlining which types of public sector buildings are affected and what these organisations need to do, in the short and long term future.
