The Potterton Gold Combi 24HE has been voted 'best buy' combination boiler by leading consumer magazine Which? The boiler earned excellent marks for its efficient and reliable performance, its user-friendly features and for being easy to install and service. Potterton also had a second entry in the Which? top ten, with the Potterton Promax Combi 28 HE Plus coming in fourth place.

In its review, Which? magazine commented on the Potterton Gold Combi 24HE boiler's impressive range of controls, noting in particular the individual controls for heating and hot water, as well as how the boiler was exceptionally easy to install. The feature also mentioned a survey of Which? members that had revealed Potterton boilers as more reliable than average. The Potterton Gold Combi 24HE was given a five star rating for its ease of use, features and low NOx emissions, and four stars for its fuel efficiency and use of power.

Andy Dabin, product manager for Potterton said; 'We are absolutely delighted that the Potterton Gold Combi 24HE has been voted best buy combination boiler by Which? magazine. The publication is well known for its impartial consumer advice and it is great that our products have been recognised by an independent source in this way.

'One of the main comments on the boiler was its reliability, something we have heavily invested in. In addition, we noted that the Potterton Gold Combi 24 HE was the third most cost effective boiler, proving that you can have quality and reliability as well as value for money.'

To compile the definitive list, Which? tested a range of boilers from a selection of leading manufacturers. Each boiler was checked for fuel consumption and efficiency, emissions, reliability and whether it was straightforward to use. A CORGI registered installer was used to fit each boiler and comment on how easy it was to install, service and replace common parts. Durability was also stringently tested.

The Potterton Gold HE range of boilers was launched in 2005, each model boasting a three year parts and labour warranty. The high efficiency boilers offer outputs of 24kW, 28kW and 33kW and a range of fluing options are available. Potterton Gold HE boilers have modern gold and black aesthetics, and come with a free filling loop and clock.
