 | | PICKERINGS GIVES TGI FRIDAY'S A LIFT
| | | Pickerings | | 21/11/2006 | | | Caterham, Surrey, 24 July 2006: Major restaurant chain TGI Friday's, part of Whitbread Group plc, has selected Pickerings Lifts to develop, install and maintain platform lifts throughout its UK restaurant operation.
The Pickerings F1 incline rise platform lifts, which provide access from the main eating area to the raised central bar in each restaurant, are adapted by Pickerings to meet the detailed requirements of individual sites. The programme, which began in 2005, is already well underway with two-thirds of the implementations already completed.
'This is an important development for TGI Friday's,' confirms marketing manager, Nathan Goddard. 'We have built our success on offering good food and friendly hospitality,' he says, 'and, as part of this, installing platform lifts reflects our commitment to providing equal, easy access for all our customers. We chose Pickerings not only because its products met our requirements, but also it is able to support us nationally'
For Simon Mitchell, marketing manager, Pickerings Lifts, 'TGI Friday's provides the perfect example of Pickerings' ability to provide a range of lift solutions on a National basis in response to commercial and social drivers, as well as such regulatory pressures as the Disability Discrimination Act.'
