The latest vehicle purchase is part of a major investment programme for the company, which is committed to its growing fleet and to ensuring customers receive the ultimate in hitec, flexible, safe collections.
Responsible for recovering over 1.5 million tonnes of recyclable paper and cardboard waste every year and with demand set to grow further, Severnside was keen to maximise the use of its fleet of vehicles whilst improving efficiency and productivity.
The maximum utilisation of each vehicle - whilst keeping operator safety and customer satisfaction high on the agenda - is a key issue for competitive, commercial operators like Severnside. Good, safe effective procedures are considered essential, and in order to offer the very best in flexible, efficient collection processes, the company now offers a wide range of 'best in class' recycling equipment. Severnside, which originally specified a number of MULTILIFT cable-lift demountables, and which proved a highly successful addition to the company's portfolio of equipment, is now upgrading, depot by depot to the MULTILIFT hook-lift system.
The company now operates 130 plus, cablelift and hooklift units. Many of the latest ones integrate the 6 wheel hook lift demountables with the 6-wheel draw-bar trailers and Multicover automatic sheeting systems, and means that Severnside can offer the ultimate in operator friendly, demountable equipment.
The MULTILIFT system helps to eliminate vehicle downtime by reducing the loading and unloading time to minimum. MULTILIFT's hooklift range spans from 2t to 25t lifting capacities for 3.5t to 32t GVW chassis. These are easy to operate with all functions being controlled from the vehicle cab. Options include both tilting and sliding hook systems designed to meet the most demanding of applications.
