Laird Group company Homesafe-Lindman, one of the UK€™s leading manufacturers of composite residential doors, has been awarded ISO 14001:2004 certification in recognition of the environmental policies employed at its recently expanded facility in Gloucestershire. This latest accreditation is one element of an Integrated Management System that includes ISO 9001 Quality certification and ISO 18001 Health & Safety certification.

Commenting on the award, IMS manager Kevin Haycock says: €ŒISO 14001 commits the company to understanding, systematically controlling and reducing its impact on the environment, and demonstrates to customers in the trade and social housing sectors that, as a group, we are committed to managing and maintaining the highest standards in every aspect of our business.€

He adds that most employees have taken part in a recent group-wide Environmental Awareness, Aspect and Impact training initiative, to ensure that they too are able to contribute to a reduction in environmental impact.
