Aston-under-Lyne's new Ikea store has been partitioned using the Eurobond Firemaster System. The Rockwool core composite panels provide the highest level of fire resistance, reducing the risk of flame spread in the event of a fire.

Insulated Construction Limited usedEurobond Firemaster Wall Lite and Firemaster Wall Extra panels for the compartmentation of the four-storey warehouse and showroom facility.

Both products are LPCB and FM-approved and offer up to four hours fire resistance, with the Rockwool core material classified as A1 non-combustible under the Euroclass reaction to fire classification.

The 27,500m2 rectangular steel structure is the UK's 15th Ikea store. The construction programme was extremely tight, just ten months, and so ease of installation was also a consideration when specifying the partitioning system. The Eurobond Firemaster Wall Lite panels are easy to handle and install and particularly contractor-friendly.
