 | | QUIK DRIVE PUT TO THE TEST AT INTERBUILD | | | Simpson Strong-Tie UK | | 27/10/2006 | | | World leading specialist in connectors and structural systems for the construction industry Simpson Strong-Tie revved things up a gear at this year's Interbuild show as visitors were invited to put Quik Drive to the test as part of a special Speed Trial Challenge.
Designed to road test Quik Drive's reputation as the fastest auto-feed screwing system on the market, queues of delegates battled it out against the clock testing the product's drilling power onto sub floors.
The fastest overall score in the Speed Trial was a staggering fifteen seconds to load, and drill a 30 screw collated cartridge into timber flooring. The winning competitor each day was presented with their very own Quik Drive tool kit. One winner, Dale Greenhalgh of Huddersfield based building company, Bubbleroom Ltd, said: 'I was really impressed with the speed and efficiency of Quik Drive and delighted I managed the fastest time of the day! While helping my team save time on work with plasterboard, ceilings and both laying and lifting decking, Quik Drive is also easy to use and ensures we'll be able to offer customers the highest quality results. '
Having recently acquired Quik Drive from a U.S Canadian based firm, Simpson Strong-Tie, showcased the product at the show as part of its launch strategy to make the product more accessible to international markets as it becomes available in new European sizes.
With its special auto-feed driving units and collated fasteners, Simpson's team of experts were on hand throughout the five-day show to demonstrate to end users and distributors, how this innovative, new product can dramatically save time and cost.
