 | | SALES EXPANSION AT PLAYWORLD SYSTEMS EUROPE | | | Playworld Systems Europe | | 04/10/2006 | | | Playworld Systems Europe enjoyed considerable success in 2005, turning in results up 38% on the previous year.
As a leading manufacturer of playground and recreation equipment for local authorities and the private sector, Playworld Systems Europe is now poised for further growth in 2006. Managing director Jerry Widdas comments, 'Last year we acquired and integrated the activities of ASA Leisure into our business which has naturally led to a broader product offering.' He continues, 'We are now expanding the sales team to provide enhanced national coverage, with trained technical sales people also providing design advice. We anticipate a similar 40% growth this year following these moves and the all-round customer service we provide.'
Recognition of the company's success is reflected in recent awards presented by the Playworld Systems Inc. group. Playworld Systems Europe has won no less than five awards including that for highest sales internationally in 2005, and 'Organisation of the Year'.
Leading the sales team is Alasdair Ward, sales director, with Richard Farr covering London and the south east; Johan Esterhuizen, for the midlands; Malcolm Cawthra for the north; Roger Wilson covering Scotland; and Jonathan Evans-Southall for the south west and south Wales. New sales people will soon be in place for East Anglia and the north east and the company's equipment will continue to be handled by All Play Agencies in Northern Ireland.
Playworld Systems Europe provides complete turnkey projects on playgrounds to skate parks and supplies and installs all the necessary groundwork, fencing and pathways. Recent installations such as Wignall Park in Knowsley and Pallister Park and Prissick Plaza in Middlesbrough demonstrate the company's full project management capability. All Playworld equipment is manufactured to European and internationally recognised quality standards and is backed up with one of the best warranties available in the industry, many components subject to a lifetime warranty.
As well as several hundred products from Playworld Systems for five to twelve year old children, the company's range includes Play Design playgrounds for toddlers and preschool; Climbing Boulders for novice and experienced climbers; Woodward ramps and rails for boarders, bladers and BMX bikers; and Life Trial outdoor equipment for active older adults.
