Ascom Wireless Solutions is one of the largest global providers of on-site wireless communications systems based on the DECT standard, with an installed base of more than 70,000 customers in premises as diverse as Commercial, Retail, Hotel, Manufacturing and Hospitals.
DECT is noted for it's secure operation, speech quality, flexibility and ability to interface with a wide range of other communication platforms. Ascom systems will seamlessly connect with existing PABX and LAN structures as well as monitoring Building Management, Process Control, Alarm and other third party equipment.
To this, Ascom Wireless Solutions have now launched a Bluetooth module for their DECT OfficeM handset. For the first time Bluetooth 1.2 technology is now available to enhance professional DECT installations, allowing even more work place functionality.
Installation of the Bluetooth module can easily be made by existing users, and there is also the possibility to upgrade earlier versions of the Ascom OfficeM handset to the new format.
