Autodesk has announced partnerships with leading European providers of structural analysis software packages Robobat and CSC for bi-directional linking with Autodesk Revit Structure, its newly-launched building information modeling (BIM) software for structural engineering, design, analysis, and documentation.. Partnerships with further industry-leading analysis and building code design software solutions are also being rolled out across to other target markets across the entire EMEA region.

This follows the successful launch of Revit Structure in North America and existing partnerships with other worldwide leading structural software vendors including RISA, RAM and CSI.

As a result, structural engineers across the Northern European and other EMEA regions can use Revit Structure with their familiar analysis tools to work more efficiently and accurately and with increased design flexibility. In turn, this will enable them to better compete in increasingly challenging global markets.

Revit Structure integrates a physical model-for layout, coordination, and documentation with an independently editable analytical model for analysis and design. Consequently, repetitive, labour-intensive tasks such as re-creating data are eliminated and errors reduced, giving engineers more time to focus on exploring alternative ideas and optimising their design.

Commenting on the integration of its analysis software Robot Millennium with Revit Structure, Andre Niznik, president and CEO of Robobat says: "We have enjoyed great success during the past year in providing an integrated analysis solution for Revit Structure users in North America. We are delighted to now bring this technology to our core European markets. We look forward to working closely with Autodesk in EMEA and we are excited to be a part of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) revolution that Revit Structure is creating."

"CSC is pleased to be working with Autodesk in order to provide our popular and proven design software as an integrated solution for those companies who have, or are adopting, Revit Structure. This will ensure that users avoid duplicated effort in the design and drafting process," states Mark Roberts, CSC's managing director.

"The integration of Revit Structure with leading analysis partners such as Robobat and CSC in our target markets, ensures as many engineers as possible across the region enjoy the efficiency benefits of Revit Structure," says Pete Baxter, sales director Building Solutions Division Northern Europe.
