 | | TURNER & PRITCHARD REBRANDS TO BECOME SHOUKSMITHS, GLOUCESTER DIVISION AND ANNOUNCES OVER £1.5 MILLION OF NEW CONTRACTS | | | Shouksmiths | | 16/10/2006 | | | Gloucester based building services company Turner & Pritchard is flying high at the moment with the announcement that it has officially changed its company name to Shouksmiths, Gloucester Division and that it has been successful in securing over £1.5 million worth of new contracts for the coming year.
Established in Gloucester in the 1860's, Turner and Pritchard has been working as a sister company to Shouksmiths York and Sheffield Divisions for over forty years, and the decision has been taken to now use the same name across all three divisions in order to strengthen its market presence. Shouksmiths, Gloucester Division, led by Divisional Director Keith Hopson, employs over 25 people from the local area, many of whom have been with the organisation since embarking on their craft apprenticeships. As well as offering full design facilities in-house, the company specialises in providing a full range of plumbing, heating and specialist contract services on projects valued between £20,000 and £1.5 million.
The new contracts Shouksmiths Gloucester Division has recently won are all from clients they have worked with before, namely Bovis Homes, Laing Homes and Lovells. The projects comprise the design and installation of plumbing, heating and leadwork on over 300 dwellings over a total of four different sites in the South West. The first of these three projects has already begun on site.
Working for a wide range of clients in the residential, industrial and commercial sectors throughout Wiltshire, Bristol, Hereford, Worcester, Gwent and Gloucestershire Shouksmiths, Gloucester Division has an annual of turnover in excess of £2 million with the majority of the work being repeat business. Recent projects in the area have included Prior's Park in Tewksbury for the Severn Vale Housing Society, a development for the Cotswolds Housing Partnership across the region and the Horfield Regeneration Project for Bovis Homes in Bristol.
Keith Hopson, Shouksmiths Gloucester Divisional Director said: "We are certainly having a very busy time here and are delighted to be working again with our clients on these new contracts. With regard to our new name, Turner and Pritchard has developed an excellent reputation in the local and regional area, but we are dealing increasingly with national clients who prefer to see a standardised brand image. Taking the name 'Shouksmiths' will help strengthen our position in what is an increasingly competitive marketplace, and will play a key part in the future development plans for the business."
John Miller, Managing Director of Shouksmiths commented: "We would like to congratulate Keith and his Team on their recent new contract wins and we are delighted to now have Shouksmiths, Gloucester Division as their official company name. Although the name may have changed we would like to assure clients that the company values have not - we are still a family run business committed to providing excellent customer service and value for money and look forward to a successful and exciting future for Shouksmiths Gloucester Division."
Shouksmiths York and Sheffield Divisions offer the same building services capability as the Gloucester Division, and work on projects up to a value of £4million. Current contracts include The Plaza student apartment development in Leeds, the new Headingley Carnegie stand at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, a new apartment development in Sheffield and McDonalds across the North of England. | |
