The new Menvier Planete emergency luminaire from Cooper Lighting and Security offers an ultra-slim and stylish architectural profile, exceptional performance and an environmentally conscious design that is second to none. Measuring only 45mm deep, the luminaire employs super-thin cold-cathode lamp technology for dependable operation, low power consumption and low mercury content.
In addition, the use of nickel-metal-hydride batteries and polycarbonate material for the body, lens and base plate means that virtually the entire product can be recycled when it is returned to Cooper at the end of its life.
A specially faceted reflector design and a high-light-output circuit deliver excellent spacing characteristics, reducing the quantity of luminaires required compared with conventional emergency luminaires.
Planete is also equipped with an automatic-self-test facility as standard. Providing complete peace of mind, this facility checks the charging circuit every 5 minutes and carries out a short-duration test every week and a full duration test every 10 weeks.
With a first-fix base plate and plug-and-socket terminal block, Planete is exceptionally easy to install and has very low maintenance requirements.
The distinctive appearance and outstanding optical performance of this non-maintained luminaire make it ideal for use in prestigious locations such as boardrooms, offices, reception areas, hotels and restaurants.
