Zarges UK has introduced a non-conducting low-level work platform, the GRP Hop-Up, to its range of access equipment for work at lower heights. Particularly favoured by those working with electricity, the GRP Hop-Up has stiles formed from the electrically non-conductive material, glass reinforced polyester (GRP). The platform is designed specifically for lower height jobs of short duration -- for instance work at ceiling height -- and can bear a static load of up to 150 kilos.

Because of its light-weight structure the Hop-Up is exceptionally easy to fold, carry, transport and store. The GRP Hop-Up is available in 300 mm and 450 mm wide models, 800 mm long and 400 mm or 600 mm high. Handrails are available as an optional extra.

"We developed this non-conductive Hop-Up at the request of our customers," said product manager Alistair Twigg. "For electrical contractors who need to work at ceiling height for short durations and then move to the next fix position, the Hop-Up is ideal. It provides just that added level of safety which gives peace of mind."
