The opportunity arose to design something different and contemporary in Horsefair Precinct, Pontefract. The aim was to create a welcoming public space for the entrances of several businesses and a large residential block of flats.
The architect's design included an array of columns connected by a unique wing structure. The final design incorporated 8 columns with Aquila's Sepale lanterns mounted on each one and 5 wings, each wing containing 5 LEDs spaced along its length.
The scheme also used Aquila's Hermes bollards with LED lights at the entrance to the precinct, with up lighters to light the trees in the area.
